Artist's Description

This hawk has been a frequent visitor to our yard this summer. Saw him get a chipmunk that was up against the house while i worked in the garden. A cool swoosh in grab and fly away with it, all in one continuous motion. Watched him in a tree over the pond. And this shot I got after i saw him go by the window and up into the tree while i was working at the computer. I quickly grabbed the camera and snapped pics. This was one of the best as many where fuzzy due to my excitement. Gotta learn to get picture then get excited :) Have also seen him glide over the yard many times. Always keeping a sharp eye out for him. Yes he has one of my garter snakes, but we have plenty.
